ANZ Bank opened its new branch at TappooCity in Suva yesterday.

ANZ chief executive officer Fiji, Norman Wilson said, “On behalf of ANZ Fiji, I am delighted to open a fresh new branch environment for our customers in the heart of Suva.”

“ANZ is a premier Pacific and global bank and events as such are a testimony to this,” he said.

As of today, he said, customers can enjoy the convenience of a full-service retail branch offering personal financial services, ATM’s, credits cards, corporate financial services, trade finance and markets.

The new branch is a prototype of ANZ’s new retail brand, which is being launched across Asia Pacific. ANZ’s new look consists of a modernised, simplified ANZ word-mark and a new symbol to give customers, staff and the community throughout the region a way to recognise and connect with ANZ.

“ANZ has had a presence in Fiji for years and our investment in such a high-quality branch environment for customers in Suva is a further demonstration of our commitment to Fiji.”

“We will continue to invest in Fiji as a pillar of our organic growth strategy across the Pacific, by launching our re- branded priority service currently known as Priority Banking early next year,” he said.

ANZ has 16 branches in Fiji, rural banking services with six teams serving a total of 471 communities and schools, 74 ATMs, 856 merchants and 1012 EFTPOS terminals.

ANZ is the largest bank in Fiji with 44.5 per cent of market share as at October 2010.
