Life Cinema at TappooCity in Lautoka has officially begun business on an auspicious note.
And to add on to that its first screening went off with 95 percent bookings.
The well-designed and eye catching Cinema was a long due dream for the people of Lautoka as most stated.
A family landowner of where TappooCity has been built, Liku Derenalagi, said these types of facilities were what Lautoka city needed and it was about time.
“I spent more than 50 years in Lautoka and with all the developments that Lautoka has seen nothing beats this building and the setup of Life Cinema in this area,” Ms. Derenalagi said.
She said: “It was just fantastic and we need more these creativity in this area
“She added it was some-thing that would catch the eyes of tourists and they would love this place.
“Lautoka city will get some new life with this,” she said.
Moreover, a family from Solomon Islands was startled to see the facilities at Life Cinema.
“This is amazing and very modern class facility is avail-able here, we already feel abroad,” said Alex Agita.
Mr. Agita had gone to en- joy the movie Kong: Skull Island and said this would definitely attract tourists to Lautoka.
The Life Cinema Pro-motions and Film Booking Manager, Daniel Vikash, said they expected incredible crowd throughout the weekend and business he said would be high for sure.
“We are pleased that the response from the public was really good, phones were ringing from 10:30 am for bookings,” Mr. Vikash said.
The very first 300 customers received free Pepsi and small pop corns at its opening.
Opening its doors for the public at around 4 pm the first movie ‘Bardinath Ki Dhulania’ was screened at 5:20pm.
The new attractive facility also made young Urithik Kumar rush with his mum and dad to watch movie after school and work.
