Three of the entertainers, Saianimere Tui, Waqanivavalagi and Vika Vakaloloma said they were approached to perform for TappooCity customers over the weekend.
“We got together and practiced all of Sunday to get ready for today” said Ms Tui.
She said the tapa pattern of their outfits was meant to show off a distinctly Fiji Islands feel.
The entertainment was organised by TappooCity’s James Sione.
Many tourists spent their time on the ground floor of TappooCity, browsing through the cultural handicraft, jewellery and beachwear items.
TappooCity executive director, Yogesh Tappoo, said that shoppers needed to be entertained all the time and TappooCity had provided them with a combination of entertainment and shopping experience.
“Tourists came and enjoyed the warmth of the staff and people of Fiji and all our Fiji offerings.
“We are giving them a Fijian atmosphere and they are loving it,” he said.
“They experience, under one roof, Fijian artefacts, Fijian offerings, combined with entertainment. Everyone comes with a smile and everyone goes with a smile. People love this shopping environment.”
