Father Christmas stopped over at TappooCity in Suva yesterday for a treat for the children of Fiji.

He brought smiles and made children who met him happy with presents, and even offered rides in his cart.

He instantly attracted a crowd – children and adults, making TappooCity abuzz with Christmas cheers.

Aporosa Boladuadua, 10, of Tamavua, Suva, said meeting Santa was his best Christmas gift.

“It is the first time for me to have a ride with Father Christmas.”

“I want to do it again next year,” Aporosa said.

TappooCity assistant event co-ordinator Maria Nemani said they had been offering free rides to children on Santa’s motorised fun cart since Friday.

“TappooCity is all about shopping, food, fun and entertainment for the whole family.”

“The reason we had the event in place is to give our children special treat and it’s a way for them to enjoy the festive season in a special way.”

“Free rides on the motori sed fun cart brought smiles to children and they really enjoyed it.”

“TappooCity wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,” Ms Nemani said
