Our Community

Following a long history of philanthropic activities, the Tappoo Foundation was formally established in 2006 to coincide with the 65th anniversary of the Tappoo Group. The Foundation supports social, educational and community based projects through the provision of grants to actively serve those in need. Children’s education, as well as maternal and mental health are among the causes that the foundation champions.

Hilton Organization

The Tappoo Foundation has supported the work of NGO’s such as the Hilton Organization, which provides education and related services to children with disabilities in Fiji and other neighbouring Pacific Islands.

Sigatoka District Hospital

The Tappoo Foundation has supported maternal health through a number of initiatives including a generous grant towards the establishment of a new maternity ward at the Sigatoka District Hospital.

Animals Fiji

The Tappoo Foundation has supported the work of Animals Fiji, which focuses on animal welfare through veterinary clinics, outreach programs and animal shelters.

Tropical Cyclone Relief

The Tappoo Foundation contributed to national relief efforts following Tropical Cyclones by donating cash, food supplies and basic household items for distribution to families affected by the cyclone. In addition, two new Mahindra Scorpion 4WD vehicles were donated following Cyclone Winston to the National Disaster Management Office to assist with relief efforts.

School Grants

The Tappoo Foundation has provided building grants to a number of deserving schools for infrastructure development. In addition, the foundation has supported primary and secondary school children from low income earning families to attend school through the provision of generous grants.

Empowering Fijians

The Tappoo Foundation has supported 30 Fijian organisations, who work to improve the lives of vulnerable communities, with grants to commemorate the Tappoo family founder’s humble beginnings over 75 years ago.
