RESPOSIBILITIES

  • Team Management: You will be responsible for leading and managing a team of IT professionals, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and evaluating performance. This involves setting goals, conducting performance reviews, and fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • IT Infrastructure Management: You will oversee the organization’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, hardware, and software systems. This involves monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that all systems are up to date and secure.
  • Project Management: You will be involved in planning and executing IT projects, such as system upgrades, software implementations, and infrastructure improvements. This includes defining project scope, allocating resources, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Technical Support: You will provide technical assistance and support to employees who are experiencing IT-related issues. This may involve troubleshooting hardware and software problems, assisting with system configuration, and providing training to end-users.
  • Security and Compliance: As an IT Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security of the organization’s data and systems. This includes implementing and enforcing security policies, conducting risk assessments, and staying updated on the latest cybersecurity threats and best practices.
  • Budgeting and Resource Planning: You will collaborate with the IT management team to develop and manage the department’s budget. This involves forecasting IT needs, prioritizing expenditures, and making recommendations for technology investments.
  • Vendor Management: You may be responsible for managing relationships with external IT vendors and service providers. This includes evaluating vendor proposals, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that service level agreements are met.

 

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Technical Skills: Strong technical knowledge and skills are essential for an IT Supervisor. This includes proficiency in areas such as network infrastructure, system administration, database management, cybersecurity, and IT project management. Familiarity with relevant technologies, programming languages, and operating systems is also important.
  • Leadership and Management Skills: As an IT Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a team and overseeing IT operations. Therefore, employers look for candidates with leadership qualities, such as effective communication, problem-solving abilities, decision-making skills, and the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: IT Supervisors often need to interact with various stakeholders, including non-technical individuals. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are important for effectively communicating technical information, understanding user requirements, and collaborating with other departments.
  • Experience: Previous experience in IT roles is typically required to qualify for an IT Supervisor position. This may include experience as a systems administrator, network engineer, IT analyst, or similar roles. Experience in managing projects and leading a team is highly desirable.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Abilities: IT Supervisors should possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve technical issues, assess system performance, and make informed decisions regarding IT infrastructure and projects.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Degree in IT or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in similar capacity.
  • Possess advance level knowledge in troubleshooting in Microsoft PC/Laptop’s hardware.
  • Should have a good knowledge in AD, DNS, Proxy, File servers and Anti-Virus.
  • Experience in Firewall, and Router Configuration, Email, Office 365 or Exchange Server.
  • Should be skilled in implementing network and troubleshoot complex & technical problems.
  • Relational Database Concepts and ANSI-SQL with MySQL, MS SQL Server 2008 or latest.
  • Knowledge of Retail Marketing Tools and Concepts.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and be flexible with working hours.
